Made from organic, home-grown Wisconsin timber; rough sawn and sanded to a satiny finish. It is protected with a coat of hard oil wax, providing a water resistant surface. Prolonged exposure to water will leave a stain, so be sure to wipe up any spills quickly….unless you want a more aged look….which is just as beautiful!

Over time, wood stabilizes with the moisture content of the room in which is it displayed. This process may result in some shrinkage. To minimize this effect, I allow time for the wood to stabilize before assembling the pieces. Even so, there may be some additional movement in the wood over time as it acclimates to your home. Every piece that I create is an unique piece of art, and I believe this stabilization process along with the natural variations in color and aging appearance adds to the intrinsic charm of these distressed pieces.
